Our families, (2.5 years old to 86 years old), all got together for the first time in a long time, and had a WONDERFUL time. We had two "social/activities directors" who organized a Family Olympics with a lot of fun games and contests, and even jerseys and a traveling trophy for the Grand Prize winner. The house is beautiful and was very accommodating to 14 people without being crowded. Some of us golfed, some shopped, but mainly we were just happy playing yard games, fishing and just hanging out. Thank you for providing us an unforgettable experience!

When we wrote last year, we said we believed we found the perfect place to come back to this year. Nothing could've been truer! Perfect weather everyday; sunny, warm and perfect for being out on the water. None of us could've asked for a better week. Everyone was able to enjoy their own little fun; kids went tubing everyday, some enjoyed skiing and knee boarding, the parents relaxed, and some got up at the crack of dawn to go fishing while the rest of us slept way too long than we want to admit! There was never a dull moment in the house, especially when the younger girls entertained us with their annual concert the last night. They obviously sparked something in all of us since we all broke out in song to karaoke, and enjoyed a wonderful last night at our perfect summer get-a-way. We can't wait to see what memories we make next year!

Had a great time for the second year! We had a new addition to the family and found out we're having another! The new swing set was key to some happy kids. Weather was great; we did a lot of tubing and skiing. We sat out on the lake and watched five sets of fireworks. On the one gloomy day we played yard Olympics and many learned how to play ladder golf. Kids had a blast with water balloons and squirt guns, while the adults played polish poker, taboo, catch phrase and hockey.

This week has been a great week. The beds were very comfortable. I with I could live here! This place is very nice. We love it! We were worried that we wouldn't, but we have come to love it. Just one word of advice. Don't let your best friend tip you out of the canoe!

Anyone new to this place should canoe the Deerskin River (follow the lake shoreline to the right to find it.) We went up river for 3 hours and turned around and floated back. Breathtaking scenery! Kids enjoyed fishing and our continuous fire. We took our 85 year old mother up the Deerskin River as well as go-carting. Good horseback riding, but the most fun was family games and conversation at the Island View I. Great accommodations and location.

What a beautiful place. We've stayed at the Island View Lodge on Catfish Lake before so we knew this would be great. We enjoyed turning on the fireplace every morning and even enjoyed a bonfire in the snow at night. We had our own Badger tailgate party with brats and burgers, while watching the Badgers defeat Iowa. We were here celebrating our father's 80th birthday. He chose the destination and it's one of our favorites too. We can't wait to come back.

This is our 6th family reunion in a row and it seems we have perfected the art of finding excellent homes for the week. The two youngest enjoyed fishing and horseback riding, my sister and I had fun with croquet and go karts, my mother was the puzzle queen as usual, and my father manned the grill expertly. My brother and beloved girlfriend took a breather from their busy lives in California and just relaxed, while my sister and husband were the usual go-getters, doing everything from hiking, canoeing, running, biking, and swimming. The grandparents, who make all this possible, came along everywhere we wanted to go. Thanks again for the great stay!

What a perfect place for our group. We've been trying to find a place to accommodate us for the last 5 years which we could look forward to coming back to the following year. We believe we've found it! The house is beautiful. The access to the water is nice (no steps). All of our kids had plenty of space to play, watch movies, and yet, have private time. Fishing was fun. We spent the majority of time on the water and even for the couple rainy days we were able to enjoy one another inside without going crazy. We saw a few deer, were in awe of the eagles soaring above and loved the peaceful calm lake in the early morning and evening. We're now going to be relaxed and excited knowing what a great place to be able to come back to next year. Thank you!

This is our 4th year that we have stayed in the Island View I and II homes. It has been the best year, yet. We were overwhelmed by the Island View I. The home is absolutely gorgeous! It accommodated our family beyond our expectations. As always, we enjoyed all of the amenities of the north woods as well. Thank you for making our annual vacation a dream. Three generations from 2 months to 66 years of age. Week full of boat rides, fishing, skiing, tubing, washers, bocce ball, water balloons, pictionary, grilling, polish poker, and best of all - family. Looking forward to many more campfires next year. This was a beautiful vacation spot that accommodated our large family. We had first time skiers, skiers after 10 to 15 years, lots of sandbox and swing set time for the little ones and we saw the biggest fish, (with witnesses ), a 38" northern pike, while fishing off the pier.

The weekend began with a group of girls that continued to grow for a relaxing, yet wild last weekend as a single woman full of great memories. We enjoyed the view of the lake, cooking out, drinking, cocktails, with no boys and kids! (Even though we missed them dearly and hope to bring them someday to enjoy this beautiful place. The weather was clear and crisp. We all had a wonderful time. We even met some new friends! Wish we could all stay longer.
